Hinterland holds a 100% interest in the 40-claim (2,112-hectare) Auclair property located approximately 85km northeast of the village of Nemaska in the Eeyou Istchee-James Bay region of Quebec.  A high voltage power line crosses the property as well as a trail for maintenance of the power line. The condition of this trail is uncertain but it is sure that it would be suitable for winter access by snow machine.

The claims cover a fold nose along the Opinaca-La Grande contact zone, and are underlain mainly by a sequence of basalt meta-volcanic rocks (Natel Formation) in contact with paragneiss metamorphic rocks (Auclair Formation). Several narrow bands of gabbro, rhyolite and have been mapped within the sequence, and numerous gold showings have been identified on the adjacent Wabamisk (Goldcorp/Azimut) and Auclair (Osisko-Baie James) projects. The Auclair property is located 45km southeast of the Clearwater (Eastmain) deposit where a NI43-101 compliant measured and indicated resource of 7.2 million tonnes at an average grade of 4.09gpt Au has been identified, plus an additional inferred resource of 5.1 million tonnes at an average grade of 3.88gpt Au (Eastmain Resources website,

Next Steps

It is anticipated that the Company will complete line-cutting and geophysical, prospecting, mapping and sampling surveys over the Auclair claims in 2017 at an approximate cost of $25,000 subject to successful financing. Hinterland is actively seeking a joint venture partner for this project due to its relatively remote location.
